In half way between Olsztyn and Ostróda, there is a picturesque village called Gietrzwałd. This is where The Warmińska Inn a restaurant different to any other is located. Warmińska Inn is especially famous for its food and climate. The carefully restored interior of the inn is adjacent to a large courtyard with characteristic turn of the century regional architecture. An added attraction is the rich collection of historic objects used in the past in the countryside.The Inn is also the organizer of a number of themed events including Jewish, Cossack and Gypsy evenings. Upon your request we are ready to add scenery and arrange a night of you dream. Guests will be placed at three halls: merchant (70-80 people), peasant (30 people) or gentry (10 people).
In the summer we also play in the courtyard of the restaurant (250-300 seats).

Our inn is famous for its very good, regional cuisine. Guests have a choice of local and traditional specialties, Monk or the Innkeeper Trays loaded with variety of meat, dumplings and veg. We also serve excellent fish dishes.

Adapting to the needs of our guests we organize additional events such as barbecue, fireplace, making own dumplings, “baking fingers", and closer to the holiday season we welcome you to bake bread, molding pottery, painting stained glass, hoof hammering, as well as molding beeswax candles.

Our achievements:

In June 2009, the Warmińska inn won an audience award in the contest within "1st Regional Fish Day" in Stare Jabłonki The Audience voted for the set of "tripe of the eel", "Zander in nettle sauce " and " white fish dumplings stuffed with barley cereal."
In 2006, Warmińska inn achieved "Culinary Heritage" Award for ” the roast duck with apples” from the Polish Chamber of Local and Regional Product.
In 2005, Marshal of the Warmia-Mazury district Andrzej Ryński awarded a commemorative medal for special merits in the promotion of Warmia and Mazury in Poland and abroad.
In 2004 Warmińska Inn was awarded a "Beautiful Poland"prize under the auspices of President Aleksander Kwasniewski for the creation of beauty, which we are proud of in the world.
In 2004, the inn has received a diploma for the best restaurant, best food, best décor and best service "as the winner of the Newsweek Poland ranking.
In 2004 and 2003 we won the highest awards in the category of "a place with a unique atmosphere" of Pascal Guidebooks.
In 2000, we were awarded by the Polish Chamber of Tourism for the program "Globe 2000" in the category of the best tourist product for the incoming tourism.
In 1999 we took first place in the tournament at the Culinary Infatour - Masuria, granted by the Marshal of the Warmia and Mazury.

In 1998 we received a diploma in the sixth edition of the Bass Pan Contest for entrusting the traditional rules of regional cuisine.
